Great Bird Walk

I went for a birding walk with guide Cat from Inala Nature Tours on Bruny Island. The walk was fantastic, with the opportunity to see a range of Tasmanian birds, including endangered ones. Cat's knowledge of the birds was wonderful.

Great visit to Inala

We spent three days and stayed in the Nairana cottage. It was wonderfully appointed and located right in the bush amongst the wildlife. We took a 3 hr guided tour around Inala looking for birds and anything else of interest. We learned lots and this then informed the walks we could undertake for the remaining time. We enjoyed the Jurassic garden and the bird hides. The staff were just lovely. This is a rare opportunity to experience wildlife in such a beautiful part of the world.

Excellent experience

Our morning tour on the Inala property was great! Cat was very professional, helped us spot some great endemic birds, and had a wealth of knowledge about the native flora and fauna. As a young woman, it was really nice to see a nature touring company led by women. Inala tours was also very good about communicating prior to our trip and was very accomdating when we had a last minute change of plans. I would recommend Inala to anyone visiting Bruny Island, the property is so special! I listed below that the price is expensive because as a recent college grad everything is expensive, but it is definitely worth the money! I wish we could have stayed the night and gone on a more extensive tour.

Birding Delight

My husband and I went to Inala to find the 40 Spotted Pardalote and we were thrilled to indeed spend time watching these tiny birds and even get a couple of pretty decent photos. All thanks to Cat, our guide, who was patient with us as beginner birders and offered such interesting information. She pointed out things we would have missed and together we watched a Scarlet and Flame Robin face-off - a first for Cat! Thank you. Great morning!
