Half-day birding tour

I recently visited Bruny Island on a holiday with my partner, and we had a fantastic half-day tour with Inala.
Our tour guide Cat was just wonderful. She was delightful company and full of knowledge, with a great eye and ear for birds. We are quite new to birding, and our outing with Cat was a perfect introduction to not only Bruny island and the local wildlife, but also to birding in general. It really was worth it to explore Bruny with an experienced guide compared to nature walking on our own. We learnt so much from Cat's friendly conversation on the birds, plants, mammals, insects and different habitats that we saw.

The Inala reserve is magnificent too. It's great to know that our costs from the tour go back into the property, and that Inala values conservation at the forefront of their activities.
Thank you Inala and Cat for such a fantastic experience, it was the highlight of our Tasmania trip.

Beautiful surrounds, incredible diversity of wildlife & expert guiding.

Inala was recommended to us by family who had stayed there. We had a half day tour with Cat as our guide. Inala was of course the first destination and is deserving of days spent there to absorb it. Inala is simply beautiful. The Jurassic Garden, the bird and animal life, the bird hide, & "wee Chester" as Cat sweetly described the little rescue wallaby. Cat had listened carefully to what we were hoping to see on the tour, and all the boxes were ticked as she took us to various places on Bruny Island to see the endemic birds we had hoped for.
We have now booked an international tour with them for 2020, & can't wait.
Tonia & her team are worthy of all the praise they get.

Fantastic tour

Bird guides are expected to identify birds from their call, locate birds within a forest canopy, and assist find more than a fleeting glance. Our Inala guide, Cat, did this and more. Many bird watchers have broad interest in natural science or surroundings. This tour is for you. Our tour conversation was more than viewing birds. Cat discussed bird behavior in relation to changing environments and balancing human needs with forms of environmental protection. She was conversant about the area ecology. During our half day tour, we saw 10 of Tasmania’s 12 endemic species including the Forty-spotted Pardalote. This success was due to e-mail exchanges before the tour and questions the morning of the tour. The tour was tailored to fit our goals, interests, and pace. The experience was an excellent value.
